300 Meter Pool Swim ~ 20K Bike ~ 5K Run

The GroundForce^® IT Power Sprint Triathlon is located at the Shady Grove YMCA in Glen Allen, VA in Richmond's west end. 2 hours from VA Beach & DC, 45 min from Charlottesville. The tri consist of a 300 meter pool swim ( indoor 83 degrees), 20k bike and 5k run. This is a great first timer triathlon! Registration is now open for many local training programs for this event, check the training page from the RMS homepage. Programs start soon and can be prorated unless the groups have reached their max.

25 meter indoor pool snake swim
not a great swimmer? put a swim seed time in more than 12:00, hang on the lane line, walk, whatever! Do not leave blank.
single file start, 15 seconds apart.
please enter your best guess estimated swim time when you register, you can change it up to 3 weeks before race day.
water temp = 83* NO WETSUITS

Bike

on road, rolling
12 miles through Henrico, Hanover, and Goochland counties!
road or mountain bikes are ok... road bikes are faster, but who cares?

Run

route goes through the award winning Twin Hickory neighborhood
pretty darn flat, L shape course
all course maps are posted on the side bar.

PINT GLASS SERIES AWARD:

Richmond Multisports produces 7 triathlons. Anyone who races 4 out of 6 races (Rocketts Landing, GroundForce Power Sprint, I Love the Tavern, Pink Power, Napier Realtors Richmond Sprint, and Naylor's Beach) will receive a commemorative pint glass & series certificate! Power Kids is not included in the series but Pink Power is for women. Good Luck!
